Helpful for a Fractional CMO, but slow start

I hired a Fractional CMO through MarketerHire. The quality of the candidate was excellent; they clearly vetted them well. We got some solid strategic direction which was a big plus. The matching process took a little longer than I expected initially, maybe 5 days to get the first few profiles. Billing was straightforward enough after that. Overall, the value for the expertise was good, but that initial wait felt a bit drawn out when we were in a hurry.

Great value for a Growth Marketer

I was looking for a Growth Marketer and trying to stretch my budget. Found MarketerHire and decided to try their two-week trial. It really helped confirm the fit before committing. We also got that new client credit, which made the initial cost much more manageable. Felt like a really good deal for the expertise we received. It was definitely worth the investment for our small company.

Consistent service, reliable hires

I've used MarketerHire for a few roles now, most recently for a Paid Search Expert. Each time, the vetting process has been solid. They sent over candidates who actually knew their stuff. This isn't my first time hiring through them, and the experience has been consistent. It's why I keep coming back instead of trying to find people myself or use other platforms. The support team also responds pretty fast if you have questions about a match or billing.

Anyone know if they do any special discounts around the end of the year or beginning of next year? Thinking of hiring a new growth marketer in January.

W William Perez 1 week ago
January is a big hiring time for them, so sometimes they have seasonal credits or special offers. Keep an eye out!

Yeah, January's definitely a peak time for them, same with fall. They often have some kind of incentive then, like extra credit for new hires. Worth checking their site or asking a rep.

Hey has anyone used MarketerHire for a Fractional CMO? Wondering about the quality of talent there, like are they actually good or just so-so?

B Betty Jones 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I hired a growth marketer through them last year and they were solid. Definitely pre-vetted, not just random people off the internet. I'd imagine the CMOs are even more experienced.

My company used them for a paid social expert and had a great experience. The vetting process seems pretty thorough from what I heard, so the talent should be top-notch.

What if the marketer they match me with isn't a good fit? Is it a huge hassle to switch?

P Paul Brown 5 days ago
Nope, not a hassle at all. I had one person who just didn't quite click with our team's vibe and they swapped them out for someone else super fast. No extra charge or anything weird.

They have a pretty clear policy for that. I think the two-week trial period helps, but even after that, if it's not working, they'll help you find someone new. It's not like you're stuck.

Is MarketerHire really better than Toptal for marketing roles? Toptal seems to focus more on dev stuff.

D David F. 3 weeks ago
For marketing specifically, yes, I'd say MarketerHire focuses way more on that. Toptal is great but their marketing talent pool isn't as deep, in my opinion.

Yeah, if you need a marketer, MarketerHire is probably the way to go. Toptal's more known for engineering. It's like comparing apples and oranges for specialized roles.

Thinking of trying MarketerHire, but wondering if there's any kind of discount for a first-time client? Like a coupon or something?

J Jeff J. 1 month ago
They don't really do traditional coupons, but sometimes there's a new client credit, like a few hundred bucks. You might find a referral link floating around that gives you a bonus.

Look for a referral link! That's usually how you get a credit, like 500 or even 1000 dollars off your first hire. Also, they have that two-week trial which is pretty sweet.
